Culture Process Washed – Ratnagiri Estate
From the cool, misty slopes of Chikmagalur, CW-01 emerges as a cup of pure precision. This coffee is part of Ratnagiri Estate’s pioneering Culture Washed series, where fermentation is guided not by chance, but by design.
At the heart of CW-01 lies the Culture Process Washed (RBW) method—an innovative approach where carefully selected microbial strains are introduced during the washed fermentation stage. Instead of leaving flavor development to the unpredictability of natural yeasts, this process brings structure, clarity, and a deliberate refinement to the cup.
The result is a coffee that feels both clean and complex: delicate florals on the nose, a crisp fruit brightness at the core, and a silky, refined texture that lingers gracefully. It’s a washed coffee elevated beyond tradition—science sculpting terroir into something sharper, brighter, and unmistakably modern.
Behind this innovation is Ashok Patre, the producer who has turned Ratnagiri into a global beacon of specialty coffee experimentation. CW-01 reflects his belief that tradition and science are not rivals, but partners—each enhancing the other to push Indian coffee into new territory.
We roast it light, where its floral aromatics, sparkling acidity, and honey-like sweetness shine with breathtaking clarity.
This is CW-01—Culture Washed, Ratnagiri Estate.
Proof that when precision guides tradition, the cup speaks louder than ever.
